John Denver was a superstar performer who influenced millions of people through his songs of pop-folk Many of them were located in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. grew up in Roswell new Mexico, but discovered love for Colorado. The singer-songwriter eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's national anthems to his adopted state have attracted many people to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame said the following: John Denver is the only musician to truly embody Colorado. Denver was the Hall of Fame's initial inductee, was honoured with the award in the year 2011. Denver is now the embodiment of Colorado to the everyone around the world. In my journeys, you meet someone from the other side of the world someone who is from New Zealand and you say "I'm of Colorado and the very first thing that comes that comes out of their mouths is"Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a brief period of performing with small folk music group was Take Me Home Country Roads composed by Bill Danoff. Danoff created the track in conjunction with Johnny Cash in mind but the moment Denver saw an early rendition immediately, he realized the song could be a hit single. A few days after performing to an excited audience in Washington D.C., the artist recorded the song.
